Hey, I’m Mathew. I am Director of Market Strategy at Salesforce, a pioneer of the marketing automation space, and regarded as one of the top minds on the future of Marketing.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work for the worlds most innovate company (Salesforce) for almost a decade helping to guide our research, internal marketing efforts, and future products. My focus is on the intersection of consumer psychology, media, and modern technology. With those insights, I’ve also had the privilege to work with some of the worlds largest and most well-respected brands including AT&T, Dell, Boeing, MIT, UPS, HomeDepot, and NATO illuminating their future path, and inspiring them to a more successful marketing future.
As a futurist, I’ve had the distinct privilege of working alongside Peter Schwartz, world-renowned futurist, and author, The Art of the Long View. Through Schwartz, I’ve learned his unique future-think and scenario-planning processes continuing the legacy of legendary futurists Pierre Wack and Herman Kahn. This unique vantage point guides much of my thinking, research, and work with brands.
In addition to the research, I do a lot of writing. As an early pioneer of marketing automation I was asked to author the first particle guide to marketing automation (2013) and have written for AdAge, Brand Quarterly, VentureBeat, Forbes, The Observer, and Harvard Business Press, and many others. My second book ‘The Context Marketing Revolution’ (published by Harvard Business Press) is due out later this year.
In addition to writing, I usually speak about 30 times per year around the world on the topic of marketing and can be found easily @msweezey on twitter. My speeches are deeply researched, fast-paced, and positioned with my unique viewpoint, delivered with my relaxed presentation style, capped off by my slight southern draw.
Currently, I do not take any consulting jobs, however, I am available to speak at events should it be a good fit for the both of us.
